616 Films is a filmmaking collective that operates out of LA, California, and Sydney, Australia. We specialize in creating high quality time based media for clients of all sizes. With over ten years experience in the industry, our team brings honor, respect and a pursuit of excellence to our work. We specialize in narrative, commercial and music video productions, with many of our past work receiving accolades at festivals in North America and abroad.
We take inspiration from genre films of the 80s and 90s, Frank Miller graphic novels, hardboiled paperback fiction, mid century Samurai films, while combining them all into a unique blend of cinema and contemporary storytelling.

Ash Wing is an Australian filmmaker based in Los Angeles. He is the founder of 616 Films, a filmmaking collective that operates out of LA and Sydney, Australia. He has directed many short films, documentaries and music videos, some of which have received official selection into festivals. He has directed music videos in the US and Australia for bands that include Bum Bag, No Vacation, Fuzz Foxx, Hot Oil, Castlecomer and Pink Zinc. He is trained in film having graduated from AFTRS(Australian National Film School) and Bond University(Gold Coast), as well as having worked in various assistant roles for high end commercial production companies in Sydney. He is currently an editor at Playable Inc, a global digital marketing company based in California. Ash frequently collaborates with Grasshopper Pictures, an Australian Production company focused on documentaries and enterprise video strategies.
